The Move Process
Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is a great opportunity
for us to learn about you, hear your concerns and discuss any special
needs you have. It’s a time to get acquainted with one another
and for you to find a level of comfort and security with us. During
the visit we will ask that you give us a tour of your home. This way
we can estimate the amount of time we anticipate needing to complete
the services in which you have interest. We’re always pleased
to give a written estimate. Packing and Downsizing
For many people, the job of packing your household
is time consuming and physically exhausting. It may be impossible
to do if you have physical limitations. You can feel assured that
we will take great care to pack your belongings as carefully as you
would. We use professional packing boxes and fresh new packing paper
with each move.
Our downsizing services work in conjunction
with your move. You have the choice of guiding us through the sorting
process or allowing us to handle the entire downsizing for you. We
will also work with you on downsizing your household items prior to
your move, or we can follow up after your move. If you are planning
to do your own downsizing, please consider calling us to schedule
a two hour motivational and planning session. It’s your choice,
because it’s YOUR HOME. Moving Day
On Moving Day, you are our primary concern.
We want you to feel comfortable and at home in when you arrive at
your new residence. We help you achieve that feeling by planning how
to furnish your new home before your moving day. While planning your
move, we will discuss what furniture you’ll want to continue
using and identify those pieces that may no longer be of use. We’ll
draw up a floor plan identifying where your furniture will look best
and be the most functional.
When Moving Day arrives, the professionally licensed and insured movers
will load your belongings into their truck and deliver them to your
new residence. When the movers arrive at your new home, YOUR HOME
will be there to meet them and ensure the utmost care in handling
your possessions.
Once the furniture is in place in your new residence, we’ll
unpack your belongings and place them in appropriate new locations.
We’ll also hang your art and family photos where you’ll
enjoy them the most, making your house YOUR HOME.
